What people are saying
These are real testimonials, written by customers who came to our restaurant and made a point of leaving their opinion about our services.
"Restaurant with very tasty food, home cooked, everything made to order! Very friendly ladies waiting. A good place to eat well, which is also affordable. Recommended!"
- Paula M
"We decided to go to this restaurant for dinner. It’s about 20 minutes from Mondim de Basto, in the middle of the Serra do Alvão. We were served very well by a simple and friendly lady, Dona Fernanda. For starters we had a divine salpicão, very tasty cheeses and a salad - all obviously homemade with fresh products. We had veal chops, small, very tender and tasty, the service was fast, all very clean and the price was a big surprise - too low. We recommend that they put the prices up because they are not fair. We even felt bad because produce of such high quality should be paid at the right price. We will certainly eat there again"

"Welcoming atmosphere. Friendly service. Homemade food, very well prepared. Place to stop by for the start of the Fisgas do Ermelo trail. We’ll definitely go again”
- Ana Varela
"Simple food, freshly made and enough to feed a horse. Almost all produce from the village itself. Looooooovely place. Very clean. In Odivelas where I live, I would pay 3x more for what I ate and without the quality of the real products from the local area. This restaurant is like an oasis on the Ermelo walking trail. I didn’t think places like this still existed. Nobody can say they know Portugal if they haven’t walked this route and stopped at Sabores do Alvão. One more detail - the owner, a country woman, speaks several languages. City service can only envy such quality.”
